An energy storage device is provided to secure electrical insulation even in case a heat shrinkable tube bursts and to ensure good welding property between the upper and lower housings. An energy storage device comprises a positive electrode and a negative electrode; positive electrode lead wire and negative electrode lead wire; a separation film separating the positive electrode and negative electrode; a housing(40,50) accommodating the positive electrode, negative electrode, and separation film; electrolyte stored in the housing; a positive electrode terminal(62) and a negative electrode terminal(64).
