The device has a holding body (2) mounting on a wall i.e. tiled bathroom wall, where the body comprises a back surface that is turned towards the wall after the assembly of the device. A front surface (10) of the body is turned away from the wall after the assembly. The body has a holding recess (6), where an insertion projection of a support part e.g. basket, is inserted into the holding recess. The body has a funnel channel (25) for filling an adhesive mass that is filled after the assembly of a space between the wall and the back surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a holding device to a wall.
