POWER CONVERTER

A power converter capable of easily constituting a bidirectional power conversion system and realizing regenerative power supply. The power converter for converting and outputting the power supplied from the power supply, in which cell power modules (U1 to U4, V1 to V4, W1 to W4) provided with single-phase inverters (4A, 4B) are connected in series for each phase, three phases of which are further provided. The power converter comprises an isolation transformer between each of the cell power modules (U1 to U4, V1 to V4, W1 to W4) and the power supply side or between each of the cell power modules (U1 to U4, V1 to V4, W1 to W4) and the output side.
