INFORMATION PROCESSOR AND STARTING METHOD

An information processor (100) has a security chip (150) for independently executing a predetermined processing. The security chip (150)is started alone prior to the main LSI such as a CPU (130) or the whole system of the information processor (100) when the information processor (100) is started. The security chip (150) then acquires the biometric information on the user from a bio-sensor (120), judges whether or not to permit the start of the information processor on the basis of the acquired biometric information and the biometric information on the user which is prestored, and starts the main LSI such as the CPU (130) or the whole system thereof when judging to permit the start of the information processor (100).
