<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-leg type traveling device capable of walking, and climbing over level difference smoothly as compared with conventional static walking without slipping out of the level difference even if the level difference equal to vehicle body bottom portion height on a front side. <P>SOLUTION: The multi-leg type traveling device comprises a vehicle body 12 having a flat bottom surface 12a; and four or more legs 14 rockably mounted about a horizontal shaft orthogonal to a moving direction of the vehicle body at one ends 14a, having joints 14b at middle portions, and attached with foot portions 15 contacting with a road surface at the other ends. The legs and joints are rocked or bent in a fore-and-aft direction to make the vehicle body walk. A backward movement preventive mechanism 16 positioned below the bottom surface of the vehicle body 12 and preventing backward movement of the vehicle body when contacting with the road surface 4 is equipped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
