<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patient ventilation system for pulling a patient away automatically from a ventilator. <P>SOLUTION: A method for pulling a patient away automatically from a ventilator is disclosed. This method includes (a) the process of offering pressure support for the patient, (b) the process of detecting the spontaneous respiration of the patient, (c) the process of counting the natural respiratory rate of this patient, (d) the process of counting the minute volume of this patient, (e) the process of comparing the natural respiratory rate of this patient with the respiratory rate of predetermined range, (f) the process of comparing the minute volume of this patient with predetermined tidal volume, and (g) the process of adjusting the support level of this patient depending on the natural respiratory rate of this patient which is compared with the respiratory rate of this predetermined range and the minute volume of this patient which is compared with this predetermined minute volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
