GAS DETECTOR AND GAS DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector and a gas detecting method for performing a real-time and sensitive gas detection while an effect of an airflow is suppressed.

SOLUTION: The gas detector 10 includes: hollow fibers 1, 1a for flowing a to-be-detected gas internally introduced; a light emitting section 11 for irradiating the interior of the hollow fibers with light; a detection section 12 for detecting return light as the light irradiating the interior of the hollow fibers; and an analysis section 16 for analyzing the gas from the return light detected by the detection section.
