PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute well-balanced black level control with image correction using parameters common to divided regions of an imaging element. SOLUTION: When inputting an output signal corresponding to each divided region of the imaging element for correction, DSP inputs correction parameters common to the divided region in correcting the image for each divided region and then executes image correction with input correction parameters set as a target black level common to each divided region. Concretely, in an automatic control using a clamping level obtained on the basis of an output of an optical black region formed within the imaging element, the balanced black level control is implemented for entire part of the image by executing image correction with the target black level common to each divided region set thereto.
