PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CO-selective oxidation apparatus and a method for measuring oxidation intensity of a CO-selective oxidation catalyst capable of simply measuring the oxidation intensity of a CO-selective oxidation catalyst. SOLUTION: The change of the carbon monoxide concentration after stopping the supply of an oxygen-containing gas to a deteriorated CO-selective oxidation catalyst is measured. The oxidation intensity of a CO-selective oxidation catalyst is calculated on the basis of an elapsed time until the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds a threshold value and a predetermined time which has been determined beforehand.
