PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an improvement in the strength of an under-run protector by inducing no large increase in weight. SOLUTION: The hollow-shaped under-run protector 1 is arranged frontward and rearward at least on the one end side of a vehicle in a vehicle width direction and is mounted and fixed to the mounting part (a stay 12, a mounting plate 13) formed on the vehicle body side. A cylindrical reinforcing body 2 along which a cylindrical wall is arranged frontward and rearward is disposed and fixed in the hollow part of the under-run protector 1. The reinforcing body 2 is arranged to have cover plates 3, 3 which can make a surface-contact with the inner wall of the under-run protector 1 at front and rear ends. When a load such as an impact or the like is applied to the reinforcing body 2, it exhibits an excellent reinforcing action continuously and maintains the function, and also exhibits an excellent reinforcing action irrespective of the direction in which the load is applied.
