PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified manufacturing method of an engraved plate for printing which is excellent in wear resistance. SOLUTION: The engraved plate for printing comprises a metal substrate 11, wherein the central portion of a bottom surface forming a recessed portion 13 is formed into a nearly flat shape and a groove 15 is obtained in such a manner that the corner portion of the circumference of the bottom surface of the recessed portion 13 is formed to be deeper than the central portion of the bottom surface. When printing is performed by a transfer pat, the edges of a character, a figure, a diagram, etc., in printing do not go slack to obtain very sharp printing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
