<p>The invention relates to a gravity separator with cylindrical helix-shaped flow path to be used in any liquid medium separation. According to the invention, the separator comprises a flexible tube (15) placed about a shaft (17) rigidly mounted on a support (19) which describes a tridimensional path in the shape of a cylindrical helix, where the first 14-20 turns are smooth inside, while on the rest of the helical path of the tube there are placed here and there, at intervals of 2-3 turns, obstacles (9) and orifices (8) for collecting heavier granules, which are located upstream the obstacle (9), each orifice being continued by a hose meant to lead the granules extracted from the pulp to a collecting tank (18). The number of smooth turns is directly proportional to the diameter of the flexible tube (15) and the working pressure.</p> |
