A retaining wall and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce the size of a bottom door installed at the retaining wall construction by connecting a tensile member. A retaining wall construction method comprises: a step of poring the lean concrete(1) into an upper part with specific depth; a step of placing a bottom plate(2) manufactured in advance with the precast concrete on the upper part of the concrete; a step of forming a protrusion(31) in which the upper side part of a pile(3) is protruded on the bottom plate; a step of setting a wall(4) manufactured on the opposite side of the pile on the bottom plate; a step of connecting one or more tensile member(5) between a connection part(41) of the wall and the protrusion of the pile; and a step for poling the cap concrete(6) on the protrusion of the pile; and a step of hardening and refilling the wall front side and real side with the rubble. |
