PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable field motor device in which an axial direction length of a rotary shaft is small, and a motorcycle with the variable field motor device. SOLUTION: The variable field motor device M has: a base 5; a motor rotary shaft 6 rotatably supported by the base and having a protrusion portion 61 protruding from the surface of the base; a rotor 7 fixed on the protrusion portion; and a stator 8 provided movably in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. The motor device M further has: a coupling member 91 extending in the diameter direction of the motor rotary shaft so as to move the stator by swing movement, swingably supported on the base in an intermediate portion and having one end coupled to the stator; and an actuator 10 for displacing the other end of the coupling member so as to swing the coupling member.
