PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold stably a display part on the line in a portrait mode in a mobile telephone having a display part rotating mechanism. SOLUTION: A lower housing having an operating part of a mobile telephone is coupled with an intermediate housing by a hinge part. A display part is attached to the intermediate housing through a display part rotating mechanism. The display part rotating mechanism has a static holding part. The static holding part, at a rotating angle immediately before the display part is set in a portrait mode, applies a strong force in the holding direction and forcibly holds the display part. A movable washer of a slide pin 7 is pushed by a holding cam 10 and the slide pin 7 is held at the right end of the lower cam groove 15.
