PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver enabling a user to listen to a favorite music while viewing a TV program, and capable of preventing a BGM inserted in the TV program from being hard to be heard since the user's music overlaps the BGM. SOLUTION: The television receiver includes configurations of (1) suppressing or muting the user's music during the period of the program's BGM (program's BGM priority), (2) passing only a speaking part of program voice with a bandpass filter, and synthesizing it with the user's music (user's music priority), (3) enabling the user to determine whether the programs' BGM or the user's music should be prioritized, and (4) delaying the program voice for a detection time of the program's BGM when a BGM detection part detects that the BGM is inserted from a sound signal of the program.
