PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relevant information providing apparatus capable of quickly providing a related information of a content by accumulating related information with a high potential to be a subject for a search request. SOLUTION: At the relevant information providing apparatus, a meta-information collection portion 12 in a relevant information provisioning server 10 collects periodically EPG (Electronic Program Guide) information, which is meta-data of broadcast programming as a content, from an EPG distribution station 70. A keyword extraction portion 13 extracts a keyword from the EPG information. A relevant information acquisition portion 14 acquires relevant information containing the keyword from a search apparatus 50, and associates the relevant information with the keyword to store in a cache memory 28. If a relevant information provision portion 15 receives a search request for a relevant information with a specified keyword from a user terminal 30, the relevant information provision portion 15 reads a relevant piece of information among relevant information stored in the cache memory 28, and sends it to the user terminal 30.
