PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein an auxiliary material, screwed in a through-hole prearranged from a surface to a reverse surface of an internal facing material or an external facing material used for a wall of a conventional building, occasionally damages a surface of the wall at work. SOLUTION: This auxiliary material 1 assists a screw tool 6 screwed in the through-hole 10 prearranged over the reverse surface from the surface of the internal facing material and the external facing material being the wall of the building, and has a seat part 2 formed of one metallic plate and having an opening 7 capable of inserting the screw tool 6, and a plate-like part 3 capable of abutting on an inner peripheral surface of the through-hole 10, and is characterized in that the plate-like part 3 is peripherally arranged in an outer peripheral edge part of the seat part 2, and is formed by bending in an L shape so that an end part on the opposite side of the seat part 2 can be locked on the reverse surface of the wall.
