PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a submerged bearing which is simplified in structure, has no risk of the generation of clearance corrosion, reduced in the whole weight of the submerged bearing including a bearing case, and allows easy disassembling and assembling during on-site maintenance, and a pump using the submerged bearing. SOLUTION: The submerged bearing includes a bearing layer 8 and the bearing case 9 receiving the bearing layer 8 and secured to a rotating machine casing.
