PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is conventionally difficult to easily form a coating layer with a high surface shape precision without being adversely affected by atmospheric temperature, humidity, etc., in a case when the composition of a coating material cannot be adjusted from a viewpoint of required characteristics as a device. SOLUTION: A pad printing device comprises a pad 14 which transfers a coating material accommodated in a coating material accommodation means 11 through a printing plate 12 and an atmospheric adjustment chamber 17 which is arranged under such a design that the pad 14 can be housed inside the chamber 17 and a space shut off the open air can be formed around the pad 14.
