PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter capable of so cutting a pipe-shaped object as to produce an almost perfect flat surface when the object is cut. SOLUTION: When viewed from the side of a blade 1, one side of an edge 4 is formed in a generally flat surface 5 and the other side is formed in a sloped surface 6 so that the thickness of a substrate 2 at the center part is larger as shown in Fig.1(b). The sloped surface 6 is so formed that the inclination angle is large near the outer periphery of the blade 1. Fine grooves 5a are formed in the flat surface 5. The grooves 5a may be periodically formed from the outer peripheral side toward the center side of the blade 1, may be spirally formed through the entire flat surface 5, or may be coaxially formed.
