<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt-shaped body cutting position control a device capable of detecting a position of a former and automatically adjusting a position of a compensator roll according to the detected position, and a belt-shaped body cutting position control method. <P>SOLUTION: This belt-shaped body cutting position control device is provided with: a print means printing a picture on a belt-shaped body; a detection means detecting a picture printed by the print means; a folding means folding the belt-shaped body printed by the print means in a direction parallel to a belt-shaped body conveying direction; a cutting means cutting the belt-shaped body folded by the folding means in a direction orthogonal to the belt-shaped body; and a control means determining the rotational phase of the cutting means when the detection means detects the picture and adjusting the cutting position of the belt-shaped body by the cutting means according to the determined rotational phase. The belt-shaped body cutting position control device includes a folding means position detection means detecting the position of the folding means in a belt-shaped body conveying direction.
