METHOD FOR REGULATING PARTICLE DIAMETER AND PARTICLE DIAMETER DISTRIBUTION OF EMULSIFIED PARTICLE IN EMULSION AND APPARATUS TO BE USED THEREIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsifying machine in which the regulation of the particle diameter and particle diameter distribution of emulsified particles in an emulsion are facilitated, the scale-up and maintenance of which are simplified and the emulsification capacity of which is requested to be sufficient in industrial production.

SOLUTION: The method for regulating the particle diameter and particle diameter distribution of emulsified particles in the emulsion comprises successively passing two or more liquids which are substantially insoluble in each other through a plurality of sieve materials disposed at regular intervals in the presence of an emulsifier. An apparatus to be used in the method for regulating the particle diameter and particle diameter distribution of emulsified particles in the emulsion comprises: a liquid feed pump which feeds two or more liquids which are substantially insoluble in each other; a cylindrical channel to which the two or more liquids are sent by the liquid feed pump; and predetermined pieces of wire nets disposed in the cylindrical channel at predetermined intervals.
