PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector in which the state of optical connection can easily be confirmed with a simple configuration, and which has a function to select a core of an optical waveguide that propagates an optical signal. SOLUTION: A user turns a first adjustment screw 34a of a second optical connector 3 in the direction of arrow D. The relative position of the first and second optical connectors 2 and 3 changes through a first guide 22a based on an amount of projection of the first adjustment screw 34a to a first opening 32a. For example, when an optical signal 5 is propagated to a first core 35A of the second optical connector 3, the optical signal 5 of which optical path has been converted by a half mirror 36 disposed to the first core 35A of the second optical connector 3 is visualized and output from a first light take-out surface 38a. By having the visualized optical signal 5 in the sights, the user can confirm that the first core 35A of the second optical connector 3 is selected, and that the first and the second optical connectors 2 and 3 are optically connected normally.
