PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow each device to compose a system efficiently and automatically according to designation even if a user is allowed to optionally designate a master node, and to perform data communications between already connected devices even if no master nodes have been designated. SOLUTION: In the case where an audio network system that transmits acoustic signals between devices is constructed such that the plurality of devices each including two sets of transmission I/Fs and reception I/Fs are connected, and a TL frame generated by a master node and having a plurality of recording regions acoustic signals is circulated among respective devices at each fixed period, when the own apparatus is required to be the master node, the device connected to both the sides of an own apparatus and a device connected thereafter are reset successively, each of those devices is removed from a loop-like transmission path if it belongs to the path before being incorporated in a loop-like transmission path to which the own apparatus belongs.
