FIXING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS USING THE SAME, AND AN IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device configured to remove a carrier in accordance with the paper type of a recording medium, and prevent a defective image due to offset upon normal fixation from occurring. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a pair of first rollers 71 and 72 for preheating the recording medium to which a toner image is transferred together with the carrier; a pair of carrier removing rollers 81 and 82 disposed on the downstream side of the pair of first rollers 71 and 72, for removing the carrier from the toner image on the preheated recording medium; a pair of second rollers 91 and 92 disposed on the downstream side of the pair of carrier removing rollers 81 and 82, for fusing the toner image on the recording medium. The pair of first rollers 71 and 72 and the pair of carrier removing rollers 81 and 82 are made movable with respect to the recording medium conveying path. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
