CATALYST FOR PRODUCING A LIGHT OLEFIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LIGHT OLEFIN
摘要
This invention provides a catalyst for producing light olefins, comprising a pentacyl-type zeolite. An alkaline earth metal atom and an aluminum atom contained in the pentacyl-type zeolite satisfy a requirement of atomic ratio [alkaline earth metal atom/aluminum atom] = 0.2 to 15. The average value of the slope of an adsorption isotherm for the pentacyl-type zeolite as measured by a nitrogen adsorption method is not less than 30 at a relative pressure in the range of 0.2 to 0.7. The catalyst for producing light olefins can use an oxygen-containing organic compound as a starting compound and can produce light olefins at a high yield by catalytically cracking the oxygen-containing organic compound. Further, the catalyst for producing light olefins has a prolonged catalyst life and thus can prolong a catalyst regeneration period and can reduce the number of times of regeneration, whereby an improvement in production efficiency and a reduction in production cost can be realized.
