<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust-emission purifying apparatus provided with a NOx adsorbing material, capable of efficiently subjecting the NOx adsorbing material of which adsorption performance has deteriorated due to oxidation to reduction treatment, thereby maintaining adsorption capability of the NOx adsorbing material. <P>SOLUTION: A specific component adsorbing material 22 different from a NOx adsorbing material 20 is provided in an exhaust emission line, and a specific exhaust gas component containing at least one of HC and CO is adsorbed to the specific component adsorbing material 22 in advance. Then, if an adsorption capability of NOx adsorbing material 20 is to be recovered, reduction substances are produced from the specific component adsorbing material 22, and the produced reduction substances are supplied to NOx adsorbing material 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
