摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion catalyst capable of burning particulate matter in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine at low temperature and a combustion removal method of particulate matter using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion catalyst contains electrolytic manganese dioxide or carries at least one element selected from alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, and transition metals on electrolytic manganese and is capable of burning particulate matter in exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine at a lower temperature as compared with that of a conventional one even if a costly catalyst aid such as noble metals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
