PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device in which design can be improved. SOLUTION: An opening and closing shaft supporting device supporting a shaft of a door part 140 freely opening and closing for a front panel part 130 is constituted of an aperture part 151 opened over two planes of a panel upper side front part 132A and a panel intermediate lower plane part 132B, a door hinge part having a door hinge shaft part and a door hinge bearing part, a door gear part 153 having a door gear shaft part 153B and a door gear bearing part 153C, an oil gear 153D, and a gear 153A. Blockade plane parts 153A12 positioned almost on the same plane as a plane of the panel upper side front plane part 132A when the door part 140 is opened are provided at the door hinge part and the door gear part 153. The door hinge shaft part, the door hinge bearing part, door gear shaft part 153B, and the door gear bearing part 153C are provided attachably and detachably from a lower side being parallel to a plane of the panel upper side front part 132A in a state in which the door part 140 is opened.
