LIGHT SOURCE DEVICE AND OPTICAL SCANNER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device and an optical scanner capable of restraining a shape of an interface between two kinds of liquids contained in a liquid lens from being deformed by an influence of heat. SOLUTION: The liquid lens 14 collects light emitted from a laser diode 12. A polygon mirror 20 deflects the light passed through the liquid lens 14. The liquid lens 14 includes an insulating liquid 42 having the first thermal expansion coefficient, and a conductive liquid 40 having the second thermal expansion coefficient higher than the first thermal expansion coefficient. A focal distance of the liquid lens 14 is varied by deforming the shape of the interface between the conductive liquid 40 and the insulating liquid 42 with an electro-wetting phenomenon. The insulating liquid 42 is arranged more adjacently to the laser diode 12 than the conductive liquid 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
