PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetically-sealed compressor that can reduce a discharge amount of a refrigerating machine oil contained in compressed coolant discharged from a discharge pipe through a simple construction, a problem in a conventional compressor that, a refrigerating machine oil separator having a refrigerating machine oil separation element and a route through which to return the refrigerating machine oil, is complex in construction and high in material cost. SOLUTION: The problem is solved by configuring a hermetically-sealed compressor with a low discharge amount of a refrigerating machine oil by sucking the compressed coolant from the central part into upper part of an electric motor section rotor 2b of the hermetically-sealed compressor, mounting an impeller 3 in a structure for blowing out radially outward, causing the refrigerating machine oil that has become in a sprayed state to collide and adhere onto an electric motor stator 2a and an inner circumferential surface of an airtight container 1, separating the refrigerating machine oil 4 from the compressed coolant 5, and restraining the refrigerating machine oil from discharging from a discharge pipe located at the center of an upper shell 8.
