New compounds and their uses, in particular Antroquinonol B and Antroquinonol C isolated from extract of Antrodia camphorata, said compounds can be used for effectively inhibiting tumor growth. The compounds of the present invention, which are first isolated from Antrodia camphorata, can be used for inhibiting the growth of cancer cells, such as breast cancer, hepatic cancer, liver cancer and prostate cancer, and can also be used as a pharmaceutical compositions for inhibiting the tumor growth.
