The invention relates to an inductive rotation-speed sensor for an exhaust-gas turbocharger, having a core composed of a metal which carries a magnetic field that is produced by a magnet, and having a coil which is wound at least around parts of the core, wherein the inductive rotation-speed sensor is arranged in the area of the air inlet of a compressor housing of the exhaust-gas turbocharger. In order to specify an inductive rotation-speed sensor for an exhaust-gas turbocharger, which does not cause any aerodynamic disturbances in the air inlet of the compressor, can be fitted to the compressor housing easily and at low cost and nevertheless produces a rotation-speed signal of high quality, the core of the inductive rotation-speed sensor at least partially surrounds the outside of the air inlet, thus guiding the magnetic field towards the coil. |
