摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit deterioration of emission in start of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: A value 1 is set to a catalyst overheat abnormality flag Fcat (S110-S140) when risk of overheat of a catalyst of an emission control device rises due to abnormality of continuous misfire of a specific cylinder, a fuel cut demand flag Fc is turned on after explosion combustion is confirmed in a start process of the engine (S180-S200) when risk of overheat of the catalyst exists (S160), and fuel injection control is executed with accompanied by fuel cut to the misfire cylinder. Consequently, deterioration of emission in start of the engine can be inhibited. Since the fuel cut demand flag Fc is turned off irrespective of value of the catalyst overheat abnormal flag Fcat (S170-S190) until explosion combustion is confirmed in a following start after stop of the engine, a trouble that a start process of the engine is not completed can be avoided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
