<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing efficiency of traffic stream simulation while securing necessary accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: A traffic stream simulation method manages a position of a mobile object that moves on a road at each time and simulates the movement of the mobile object by repeating the processing of calculating the position of each mobile object after a specific time step. A range subject to simulation is divided into several ranges and a value of the time step is varied by the region. Then in the case that the mobile object enters a range with a different time step after one time step, it is preferable to calculate a time that corresponds to the time step of the range which the mobile object has entered and its position at that time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
