PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress degradation of an image quality, and also to prevent a width in a first direction of a head unit from being large. SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus is equipped with (a) the head unit, (b) a moving mechanism, and (c) a control part. The head unit has a plurality of heads in the first direction in which a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid to a medium are arranged in the first direction. The head unit forms a raster line by moving m times relatively to the medium in a second direction that intersects the first direction and ejecting the liquid. The width in the first direction of the head unit is larger than a width in the first direction of the medium. The moving mechanism moves the head unit relatively to the medium alternately in the second direction and the first direction by a plurality of the number of times. The control part forms an image whose resolution is n times of a pitch of the nozzles by relatively moving the head unit by the plurality of the number of times to form a plurality of the raster lines.
