PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the amount of blowing, while suppressing the height of a vent cover without neither the fall of a foreign matter onto vent holes nor the deterioration of outer appearance. SOLUTION: A washing machine case body 5 includes a top cover 4 in the upper part, and the top cover 4 includes a lid 18 for opening/closing a laundry put-in/take-out port 17. A washing and dehydrating tub 8 is arranged in an outer tub 6 inside the washing machine case body 5 so as to be rotatably driven. The vent holes 22 are formed in the lid 18, and covered by the vent hole cover 23 so as to be ventilatable. The whole circumferential area of the peripheral edge part in the vent hole cover 23 is spaced with respect to the lid 18.
