Fish food capsule comprises a capsule casing (1) and a liquid or suspension-like fish food product (5) enclosed in the capsule casing, where a gas phase (6) determining the buoyancy of the fish food capsule is provided in the capsule inner chamber of the fish food capsule. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparation of fish food capsule, comprising: providing a liquid wax phase (8) heated at 50-60[deg] C; adding 1/3rd portion of the lipophilic matrix under stirring; cooling the wax/matrix mixture at a temperature below the melting point of the capsule casing materials; adding further food product components contained in the composition, and the remaining lipophilic matrix for finishing the fish food product; degassing the fish food product; aerating the fish food product with a gas, which is non-reactive with the components of fish food product, under forming a fine dispersion; providing a gas barrier, where the gas barrier has the same gas composition such as an in-gassed non-reactive gas, and constant stirring of the fish food product; and enclosing the fish food product in the capsule casing; and (2) a fish food kit comprising different fish food capsules with buoyancy properties varying from one another and/or different fish food products.
