<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film having superior optical characteristics such as reduced haze, superior transparency, low double refraction, or the like, satisfactory mechanical strength and thermal insulation properties, and superior moisture permeability, to provide a polarizing plate using this optical film, and to provide an image display device that uses the polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: This optical film for a protection film for polarizer is formed by polypropylene resin synthesized by metallocene catalyst and has melt flow rate (MFR: a value measured under the conditions of 230°C and 2.16 kg load, in compliance with JIS K7210) of 20g/10 min or larger. The polarizing plate is constituted, by forming the optical film on at least one face of the polarizer, and the image display device is constituted by using the polarizing plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
