<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart a communication device at accurate time by restarting the communication device based upon time information corrected according to the standard time. <P>SOLUTION: A LAN switch 1 includes a communication program 11a having a communication function of receiving data and transferring the received data and a setting changing function of changing operation settings of the communication function, a reboot program 11b restarting the communication device at time specified by the setting changing function when operation settings of the communication function are changed, a reboot timer 12 updating the time information for restarting the communication function, and a time synchronizing program 11c correcting the time information according to the standard time.
