PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily secure the latest warm start information dispensing with the need for continuous power supply to a GPS unit. SOLUTION: The warm start information stored in the GPS unit 11 of a mobile GPS terminal 10 is periodically stored in a nonvolatile memory 13 by a CPU 12, and this information is written in the GPS unit at the restart and used for picking up a GPS satellite and positioning. The nonvolatile memory stores the latest warm start information and the preceding warm start information to allow the use of the preceding warm start information when abnormality is detected in the latest warm start information. Further, the warm start information stored in the nonvolatile memory is incorporated into a CF memory card so as to be storable in other mobile GPS terminals. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
