PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate, by which the epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate can be produced in a high yield. SOLUTION: The method for producing the epoxy group-terminated (meth)acrylate represented by general formula (2) (wherein R is H or a methyl group) comprising performing a transesterification of a lower alkyl (meth)acrylate with a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein Y is a 2-8C saturated hydrocarbon group, and R is H or methyl group) in the presence of a metal alcoholate is characterized by controlling the total mole ratio of water contained in the reaction system to≤5 times that of the metal alcoholate.
