PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for acquiring imaging data in a plurality of energy states during a single scan. SOLUTION: This CT system includes a control device configured to cause a generator to energize an x-ray source to a first voltage 70 for a first duration 74, acquire imaging data for at least one view 76 during at least the first duration 74, after the first duration, cause the generator to energize the x-ray source to a second voltage 72 for a second duration 78, and acquire imaging data for two or more views 80 during at least the second duration 78.
