Captive nut (10) with a cylindrical nut body (14) having a coaxial drilling with an internal thread, wherein the nut body terminates in a square plate (16) and the nut body (14) is freely held in a cage (12) by means of the square plate (16) and the whole captive nut (10), i.e. nut body (14) and cage (12) is produced by simple tube drawing, thread cutting, bending and stamping from a single sheet strip (100) and a method for producing such a captive nut. |
