<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that temperature of a switching element rises during engine stop due to heat flow from a stator generating large quantity of heat, and that there is risk of overheat of the switching element due to heat generation during re-start in a generator-motor in which a control circuit part and a dynamo-electric machine main body including a stator and a rotor are integrated and which is used for a vehicle or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This generator-motor is provided with a re-start control device capable of automatically re-starting an engine during stop. The re-start control device sets stop continuation time in which stop of the engine is continued based on estimation of temperature of the switching element during engine stop when the engine is stopped.
