PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet switch capable of restraining disconnection in a coil caused by shocks accompanying collision of a plunger without having any specific consideration on manufacturing process and thereby improving vibration resistance. SOLUTION: The magnet switch 1 for a starter includes an exciting coil 3 consisting of an attraction coil 30 and a retaining coil 31, a grounding plate 4, the plunger 5, and a terminal 7. The grounding plate 4 is arranged at the back of the exciting coil 3. The plunger 5 is reciprocatively arranged in the inside of the exciting coil 3 in an axial direction. One end of the retaining coil 31 is electrically connected with the grounding plate 4 via the terminal 7. Thus, a connection section of the retaining coil 31 can be separated from the grounding plate 4, and shocks added on the connection section of the retaining coil 31 can be reduced. Consequently, the disconnection in the retaining coil 31 caused by the collision of the plunger 5 can be restrained, and its vibration resistance can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
