PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device, a computer program and an information providing method, which provide information for safely stopping a vehicle at an intersection even when followed by a vehicle. SOLUTION: The information providing device determines whether the vehicle is in a dangerous traveling state determined by a stop condition in which the vehicle stops before the intersection after start of a yellow light and an entry condition in which the vehicle enters the intersection by the end of the yellow light based on the speed and the distance to a stop line of the vehicle, signal information or the like (a dangerous traveling area determined by the distance to the stop line and the speed). The information providing device generates stop information showing that the dangerous traveling state of the vehicle is determined, and it is determined to stop the vehicle before the intersection, and reports the generated stop information to the following vehicle which is traveling behind the vehicle.
