摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller equipped with a workpiece setting error compensation means for compensating a setting error when setting a workpiece. SOLUTION: A numerical controller controlling a 5-axis machine tool is provided with a workpiece setting error compensation means for compensating a setting error that arises when a workpiece is set on a table. This workpiece setting error compensation means is provided with: a tool position/direction calculation means for calculating the position/direction of the tool on a command coordinate system based on command numerical value; an error compensation means for performing error correction to three linear axes and two rotation axes based on error amounts preliminary set to keep the position/direction on the command coordinate system of the tool calculated by the tool position/direction calculation means; and a solution selection means for, when there exists several solutions in the calculation trigonometric functions in the error correction means, selecting a solution which is close to the direction on the command coordinate system of the tool calculated by the tool position/direction calculation means as the position of the two rotation axes corrected by the error correction means.
