PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing controller capable of preventing occurrence of various kinds of troubles in a fixing part with an abnormal high temperature, by blocking power supply to a heater before the fixing part gets to the abnormal high temperature, when the heater is not controlled normally. SOLUTION: This fixing controller 9 provided with a temperature detecting part 23 provided in the fixing part 200, and a heater control part 40 for controlling the heater 21 to bring a temperature detected by the temperature detecting part 23 into a target temperature, is provided with an abnormality detecting part 500 for detecting the abnormality of a heater control state by the heater control part 40, based on a comparison result provided by comparing a conducting pattern of a current applied to the heater 21 by the heater control part 40, with an applied pattern of the current to the heater 21 repeated in a prescribed period by the heater control part 40, and a power supply control part 600 for blocking the power supply to the heater 21, irrespective of the heater control state, when detecting the abnormality by the abnormality detection part 500.
